How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Waypoint Ink service.
  • Authenticate your identity and secure your account.
  • Enable features like trip sharing and search.
  • Send transactional emails (e.g., magic link sign-in).

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate Waypoint Ink:

  • Supabase: database hosting, authentication, and file storage.
  • Google, Apple, Facebook: OAuth sign-in providers.
  • Vercel: application hosting and deployment.

Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing how they handle your data.

Data Storage

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, which runs on cloud infrastructure with encryption at rest and in transit. We use row-level security policies to ensure you can only access your own data. We retain your data for as long as your account is active.

Data Deletion

You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time through the Settings page in the app. Once you submit a deletion request, we will process it and permanently remove your data. You can also contact us directly to request deletion.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your data.
  • Object to or restrict processing of your data.
  • Data portability - receive your data in a portable format.

Children's Privacy

Waypoint Ink is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us so we can promptly remove it.
